Business Meeting Minutes December 21, 2016 Knights of Columbus 12017
Grand Knight Jeff Godshall called the meeting to order and received a report from the Warden that all present were in possession of their membership cards.
The opening prayer was said and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Approval of minutes:
The minutes from the November meeting are posted on the council website. Motion made to approve (Chris Smith motion, Kenny Merck second) and was passed.
Admissions committee report: None
Grand Knight report:
Guest of Joe Hellman was introduced as was a transfer Knight from Southport.
The Grand Knight thanked all for their support to him through his first six months of service. The upcoming events calendar was reviewed and was attached to the meeting agenda. Next big event is the St. Patrick’s Day dinner dance on 3/18/17. Thank you notes from the seminarians were shared with the group. First degree on 1/18/17.

Financial Secretary’s report:
Financial secretary gave his report. Annual dues notice has been mailed to members. Effort will be made to contact brothers who have not paid dues in the past.
Director’s reports:
Church (Decker)- Help is needed for parking duties on Christmas Eve at the Children’s Mass. Be at the church by 2:30pm. Knights before Christmas attendance was much appreciated in helping with all ministries.
Culture of Life (Breit)- Rally for Life in Raleigh 1/21/17. Pro-life weekend in Washington, DC is 1/27/17.
Family (Peters, S)- Knight of the Month is Tom Woodard. Family of the Month is the Niggel family.
New Business:
Jon Scarborough- 1st Sunday of each month a priest from Raleigh celebrates a Vietnamese mass at 6pm in the Chapel. Next scheduled for 1/8/17.
Report of the Fourth Degree:
NCAA football playoff booklets are available for sale. See Greg Decker to get one.
