Grand Knight Jeff Godshall called the meeting to order. The opening prayer was said and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Approval of minutes:

The minutes from the February meeting are posted on the council website. Motion made to approve, seconded and was passed.

Retention/Membership report: No report

Grand Knight report:

Ron Daniels was welcomed back after his recent hospitalization.

A motion from the executive board to donate 10% of each month’s poker profits retroactive to two months ago to fund the family fund requested by Fr. Pat was made, seconded and approved. A check will be given to Fr. Pat for deposit into a separate account to be used at his discretion.

A 1st Degree ceremony will be held this Thursday at St. Mark for two candidates: John Lewis and Jake Hart.

A 3rd Degree ceremony will be held this Saturday at St. Mary’s. Deputy Grand Knight will be observing.

The council has made a donation to the International Food Festival and will be designated a Platinum sponsor.

Treasurer’s report:

The financial secretary gave the report in the absence of the treasurer.

Financial Secretary’s report:

Sent out letters containing the state raffle tickets to each knight for sale.

Director’s reports:

Culture of Life (Decker) - We are asked to help parking on Easter Sunday and will need volunteers. CDs of the book “Resisting Happiness” were made available for those who wished to take one.

Family (Peters, S) - Knight of the Month is Larry Greer in recognition of his leadership with the St. Patrick’s Day Dinner/Dance.

New Business:

Next Pancake Breakfast will be held on April 2 and hosted by St. Mark Middle School

Lenten Fish Fry on March 24 beginning at 5pm. The first fish fry had a good turnout.

International Food Festival is Apr. 22. We are requested to help in various capacities. See Steve Peters to volunteer. Andy Espisito is leading the logistics team, please volunteer to assist him.

Golf tournament: Apr. 29 beginning at 8:30am at Olde Point Country Club in Hampstead. Brochures are available for sign up and to solicit sponsors. Two man teams in a scramble format with two flights. $80/person.

John Bolger reported on his visit with school children on behalf of veterans and disabled veterans in need. A link will be posted on the website for items of need, please consider donating.

Alex Hill is recruiting knights for a Gregorian chant choir to sing at various Masses each month. Practice will probably be alternate Wednesday from our meetings.
