Business Meeting Minutes May 16, 2018 Knights of Columbus 12017
Grand Knight Jeff Godshall called the meeting to order. The Warden reported all had membership card and rosary. The opening prayer was led by the Warden and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Approval of minutes:
The minutes from the April meeting are posted on the council website. Motion made to approve, seconded and was passed.
Retention/Membership report: no report
Grand Knight report:
Election: slate of officers for the Fraternal year 2018-2019 was read by Advocate, Mark Pahl. Motion was made to accept and was seconded. Officers elected by acclamation. Installation date to be determined.
Golf Tournament: report by Greg Peters. This Saturday May 19 at Muni. Start time 1:30pm. We are expecting a big turnout. Volunteers needed to set up and run some events. We will meet at the church at 8:30am to pick up equipment for transport to the golf course.
Youth confirmation cookout is this Sunday May 20. George Schadt will be cooking. Sign up for volunteers was passed around.
Memorial Day week-end picnic May 26 will be held at Ronnie Girardi’s. Address: 205 King Arthur Dr. Details to follow.
Proposal was made to add additional funds to Fr. Pat’s St. Philomena account. Dollar amount was debated and a committee will be formed to write a proposal and bring it to the membership.
Texas Hold’em made a profit again. Future poker nights are scheduled for the social hall versus the activity center.
Parish Breakfast: Last breakfast until September. George was thanked for his efforts again this year. The donation idea has proved to be successful and will continue.
Jay Curley was recognized for donating a refrigerator to the council to be kept in the garage.

Director’s reports:
Family (Peters, S)- Knight of the Month is Rich Carbone for handling the logistics for the IFF. Family of the Month is Bob and Laura Sterner for heading up another successful IFF. Laura was overall chairperson of the event which surpassed last year’s profit by $6000.

After closing the meeting, Tim Niggel introduced guests who were recipients of the proceeds from our LAMB drive. These organizations work with special needs people and were grateful for the assistance provided by our council. Grand Knight, Godshall was presented with a certificate of appreciation. We have donated over $9,000 to various groups thanks to the efforts of all brothers who have worked the LAMB drives. Please continue to support this worthy cause.
