K of C Business Meeting November 20, 2013
Knights of Columbus 12017                  

The Grand Knight, James Laraia, called the meeting to order and received a report from the Warden that all present were in possession of their membership cards.
The prayer was said and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

A special prayer to Mary was said by the council.

The minutes were read and a correction to the LAMB ytd total was amended. The minutes were then approved.

Council Meetings will return to the third Thursday of the Month beginning December 19, 2013.

Final money raised for the Columbus Day Dinner/Show was $9,240.

Sunday December 8^th, the Columbiettes will hold their Annual Christmas Party at Porters Neck Country Club. All knights and their spouses are invited.

A Spiritual Tool Kit handouts were passed out to the members. This is a follow-up From last month's talk on “Holiness”. (beatitudes, 10 commandments, 7 deadly sins).

Help is needed to move a brother knight on Sunday November 24^th at 2PM.

Christmas Tree truck unloading will take place on Saturday November 24^th at 8 AM.

A Texas Holdem on Friday December 6^th at 6PM.

The Annual Knight’s Before Christmas Mass at 9:30 AM with members of the Knights and Columbiettes serving as the ministries at this Mass. The choir will be composed of all remaining Knights and Columbiettes.

The Parish Breakfast will include Santa Claus and cookie decorating for the kids. Free pictures with Santa will be provided. Steve Peters is the coordinator.

The Wilmington Holiday Parade will be held on Sunday December 8^th at 5 PM. 4^th Degree will march in regalia as a unit.

The Christmas tree lot clean-up will be on Saturday December 14^th at 9 AM.

The Burgaw Christmas Parade on Saturday December 14^th at 5 PM. 4^th Degree will be marching in regalia.

The Annual Christmas LAMB drive after all Masses on Saturday Dec 14^th and Sunday December 15^th.

The Annual Christmas caroling will take place on December 14^th.

The K of C website update will be presented at the December Meeting by Greg Decker.

Christmas Parking December 24^th  2 Masses at 4 PM and 2 Masses at 6:30 PM English in the Church , Spanish in the Auditorium.

The Step-up for Soldiers barbeque will be held on 11/24 & 11/25.

The Knight of the Month is John Bolger for his many efforts.

The Family of the Month is Joe and Mary Hellman for their work and leadership.

Prayers for Brothers in need; Mike Okeefe, Roy Parker, Bill McFarland, and Ken Merck and all sick and deceased members and their families.
