Balloting for Membership:

Grand Knight Report:

The Good of the Order presentation was given at this time as our meeting was running long and did not want the guests to wait until the end of the meeting.  It will be documented in its normal place in this recording.

  • The Grand Knight initiated a discussion of the budgeted capital expenditure planned for the parish. These items were:
    • A display case to be used in the gathering space to sell religious items.
    • A statue in the memorial garden similar to that done for the school. (Likewise, the base is to be an Eagle scout project.)
    • An addition to the sign on the St. Mark Activity Center with the words “Our Lady of Victory”.
    • The remainder of the budgeted expense to be used for hymnals and missals.

There was much discussion about these items as well as the prioritization, where funds were coming from, potential depletion of the capital fund, etc. The “tithing” of all council income was initiated this year as a way to keep monies coming into the capital fund thus allaying the “depletion” scenario.

Also, discussed was the ability to have KofC recognition on each of the items. Fr. Keane agreed that we could and even mentioned the memorial plaque in the front of each hymnal and missal.

A motion was made to approve all items by Chris Smith and seconded by Ron Daniels.

  • The New Parishioner Free Breakfast voucher is now in use. They will be given out when new parishioners register.
  • A list of names for our Memorial Mass was circulated. The intent is to remember all deceased knights of 12017.
  • The back room closet cleanup will be performed by all program directors at the next planning meeting.
  • The State Council Service Program Matrix was distributed to all program directors for completion before the end of the meeting.
